The Absolute Value of Mike is about Mike who's father is a mathematical genius. When his Dad has to lecture in Romania, he sends Mike to his great-aunt. In her town, all the people are trying to raise money for an orphan, Misha, whom Karen (the minister) wants to adopt. But they only have 3 weeks! When Karen has to leave for Ohio, they decide that Mike should be the leader. And there the chaos began! What I liked best, was that the author made up so many crazy characters, worked well together to give Misha a better life.
