Catherine

Having not read Wuthering Heights, the book Catherine was based on, I found myself being a little worried that I wouldn't understand the plot. Instead it was the opposite. I loved this book!! It kept me sucked in from the beginning to the end, the characters were full of life and spark, and the author didn't end the story the way that I thought she would. In fact, I would highly recommend this book. I thought it was excellent.

Altered

I really did not like Altered. To start off, this girl has four boys locked in her basement for testing. But does she think about how wrong it is to keep prisoners in your basement? Does she ever wonder what they are there for? Does she show any feelings at all? No!!! The only thing she cared about was how hot one of the boys, Sam, was. Is this a realistic reaction? I think not. And that was just the start of a very infuriating read. The idea behind the book showed promise, but unfortunately for this book I think something got lost in translation.

Time Between Us

Anna's life is thoroughly normal until she meets Bennett, how is thrilling and different from the other boys at her school. But never, not even in her wildest dreams, could she guess how different he really is. I thought Time Between Us was a fun light read. It had its cliche moments, but they worked. I would recommend this book to people who like romance books.

Lucid

Wow!!!! Lucid is really wonderful. It had me guessing all the way up until the end, and the ending was one of the best twists I have ever read. I would highly recommend this book!

Winter White

I have to confess, I love the prequel to this book. But this time around I found Winter White had lost its magic. I got so bored after about 50 pages that I skipped to the end and found that I understood everything that was going on, it was almost as though the whole 250 pages I skipped were completely unworthy. So, though I would recommend the prequel, this book does not get my nod of approval.

Break My Heart 1,000 Times

Veronica lives in a world where ghosts, or images, are commonplace and fill up the streets and schools, as well as houses. So when Veronica finds a new ghost of a boy in her bathroom, she doesn't think anything of it. But for her, this ghost's presence means so much more, and signifies the beginning of a murder plot that threatens Veronica's life.

Break My Heart 1,000 Times is a thoughtful, artfully futuristic thriller which I would highly recommend, though its not for the feint of heart. Even I, who doesn't frighten easily, started looking over my shoulder toward the end of this book.

Burning Blue

Burning Blue is simply stunning. From beginning to end I was hooked on the plot, it was fast-paced and intense. The characters where so believable, and they had a wonderful sense of vulnerability that made them leap off the page. To me, this book was much more than a simple detective story, which is what it appears to be in the beginning. It is a story about how far people will go, and how important forgiveness is. I would definitely recommend this book.

Feedback

The first thing that you need to know about Feedback is that it is a sequel. And its not one that explains things in the beginning. It picks up right where the other book ended, and keeps going. Even having already read the other book, I found myself getting a little lost. However, keeping this in mind, I thought this was a very good book. It had the same feel and pace of the first book, so if you enjoyed Variant, then you will enjoy this book.
