Geeks, Girls, and Secret Identities

Geeks, Girls, and Secret Identities is a wonderful book. It reads like a comic book, but without many pictures. Vincent and his pals live in Copperplate City where Captain Stupendous fights crime. During a superheroic battle with a robot, Captain Stupendous gets hurt (gasp!). Everybody worries about him. When Vincent becomes involved with Captain Stupendous' fate, his mom gets kidnapped and things go downhill from there. What happens next? Read the book to find out. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys science fiction and super hero adventures.

Fairy Lies

Fairy Lies is awesome! But sometimes the language is a bit mixed up. I would recommend this to my friends who like magical creatures. This is the second book in the Fairy Wings series. It is easy to read even you have not read the first book.

The Fourth Stall is an entertaining, brilliantly plotted novel about a boy named Mac running a business inside his school to help people solve problems. Mac is forced to choose between business and ethics in this great book that has it all: humor, action, and suspense, and is sure to entertain any reader.

Girl Meets Boy

In a series of short two-sided stories, multiple teen authors take the perspectives of boys and girls in relationships. The voices in Girl Meets Boy are clear and the book is a great short read. It discovers racial, sexuality, and other social differences which vary from story to story. Girl Meets Boy is incredibly unique and is definitely a book for any high school reader.

BZRK

BZRK is about a group of people who are trying to control the human brain. There is a group of people who are trying to stop them also. I especially liked the way they described being in people's eyes/ears/brains. It was disgusting but interesting. I also liked how they did the fights between the bots. The whole two people combined is cool too. I liked the people is the organization Berserk. The guy Caligula is very mysterious and awesome. All in all this book was a very good and thrilling one. I would definitely read a second book if there was one.

DJ Rising

DJ Rising is a heartfelt book that tells the story of a teenage boy with an almost impossible dream. The main character, Marley, has a tough life. With his father dead, a drug addicted mother, a school scholarship to sustain, and a job to work at six days a week, Marley barely has any time to be a normal teenager. But in the free time he does have, Marley breathes and dreams music and becoming a famous DJ. So when his friends hook him up with the gig of a lifetime, how could he say no? But, just as things are looking promising for Marley’s future, it starts tumbling down. I liked how the author allowed the reader into Marley’s mind, making them feel as if they were really experiencing his roller-coaster life. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to read a truly touching story.

Seekers: Return to the Island: Island of Shadows

I really loved the first book in the second Seekers series, The Island of Shadows. Written by Erin Hunter (who also wrote the great Warriors series), this is, what I think, one of her best books yet. I’ve heard some people say that when a series gets into its second series of books it gets boring. Judging from this book, however, I can prove that they are wrong; Toklo, Kallik and Lusa are trying to get home, accompanied by Yakone, who claims to be a lost cub when the four bears meet. Toklo wants to protect him after Ujurak died, but the others aren’t sure. Can they trust him?
