The Carrier of the Mark is a great mix of ancient Irish mythology and modern characters. I enjoyed it a lot, and it would be great for anyone who likes mythology, elemental magic, and romances with a twist. It is a clean read with all of the elements needed to make it a page-turning fantasy, including age-long destinies, unfulfilled prophecies, true loves, and hidden dangers. Perfect for people who love legends, but not exactly strict Irish history.
