Liesl & Po

It’s very hard for a story to be like Cinderella and still be a middle-grade book, but Lauren Oliver has done so with Liesl and Po, a charming story about a girl who is trapped in an attic and befriends a ghost. With the help of Po, the ghost, and his dog-cat Bundle, Liesl finds out the truth behind her father’s death and puts his ashes to rest, and stops an evil alchemist from using magic to raise the dead. With a plot full of twists and turns, I would recommend this book to anyone who likes amazing adventures.
