Ashfall

Ashfall is a riveting adventure tale about a sixteen-year-old boy who, during a peaceful weekend alone, finds himself plunged headlong into an ash-filled nightmare after a volcano in Yellowstone erupts. Despite its length, Ashfall is a page-turner with enough action to keep one riveted throughout. Ashfall isn’t just an unrealistically futuristic dystopian story.  Instead, it takes place in an all-too-real post-apocalyptic present and explores how mankind loses its humanity when faced with disaster and almost-certain death. Similar to The Maze Runner and Nation, Ashfall was a wonderful read and I eagerly await the sequel.
