When Keri’s brother Jake commits suicide she can’t help but be shocked. And so maybe that is the reason that when her old best friend Janna walks up to her and tells her “your brother didn’t commit suicide, he was murdered,” Keri believes her. But as they begin to investigate what happened they realize that their town has some skeletons in its closet, and people will do anything to keep them from being revealed. I enjoyed The Shattering a lot and would recommend it to people who enjoy thrillers with a paranormal twist.Jenna, 15
