I liked The Detention Club for lots of different reasons. First of all, there is a science fair coming up and on the first day that Peter starts to brainstorm he makes up about 20 wacky ideas (none of them work). Second, he ends up making friends with the school bullies at detention and helps the other kids do the same. All of these events lead up to a shocking conclusion. This book is a fun read and there was nothing I did not like about it.Tony, 10
