Lights on the Nile is supposed to be a fairy tale about the origins of fairies, but there are only about ten pages in the book about fairies. When I read that the book was about fairies, I thought that it meant a different book since the blurb didn’t say anything about fairies. In this book, a young Egyptian girl named Kepi is kidnapped and separated from her pet baboon, Babu. Desperate to reunite with Babu and her family, Kepi journeys to the capital of Egypt, where she makes new friends who become servants of Hathor, of fairies.
