Eight-year-old Clara Lee is Korean-American and wants to be Little Miss Apple Pie in the big parade. Three things get in the way: her annoying little sister Emmeline, the fact that she has to speak in front of the whole school for the contest, and a girl who thinks she would be a better Little Miss Apple Pie because she is American. I would recommend Clara Lee and the Apple Pie Dream to anyone who has/has had a dream about being in a parade.
