This hilarious book, The Amazing Adventures of John Smith, Jr, aka Houdini, is sure too keep kids laughing but also to keep them on the edge of their seats. The book is about a boy who chronicles his misadventures. However, it also lets the reader experience the emotions of a boy who’s father lost his job and his brother disappeared in Iraq.
