The Undrowned Child

The Undrowned Child was such a magical and wonderful book. I look forward to reading The Mourning Emporium, the sequel. I loved how there were so many mythical creatures who were willing to protect Venice when Bajamonte Tiepolo was attacking Venice. I also loved how everything was described with so much detail, from the dead mermaid to the handwriting that one of the protagonists, Teodora (Teo) sees over someone’s head while they speak. The only downside to the detailed descriptions is that sometimes, you get too many details! If you didn’t catch it, I loved this book!
