Once in Sicily, Rosa begins to uncover all the secrets with the help of her "Romeo", the son of her family's enemy's family. Together they discover the history hidden under cover-ups and lies. The book races through their lives at a fast-pace and keeps you thoroughly engaged. I couldn't put it down, and when I got to the end, I was disappointed that it was over. The ending was altogether satisfying and ends up the way you want it to for both characters.
