Something Strange and Deadly is about a girl named Eleanor, who lives in
Victorian England. Her brother, Elijah, has gone off to New York and delayed
his return twice, leaving their family in poverty. On the day Elijah is
supposed to return, the walking dead rise at the station where Eleanor is
waiting for him. She is left behind in the rush for the exit and is delivered a
telegram that he will not yet be returning. Eleanor is sunk up to her neck in
mystery and juggles with staying in her normal life and looking for Elijah. I
loved this book and would definitely read it again.
