Dead to You is about a boy, Ethan, who was abducted when he was 7. Now at 16, Ethan has finally been reunited with his family. This book is about Ethan's struggle to fit back into his old life when so much has changed. Ethan wants to be a part of his family but he feels disconnected.
This book was interesting because it gave a different point of view. Usually we don't hear about this part of abductions. There is a lot of drama and news coverage about the actual abduction and about the emotional reunion of the parents and child. This book showed that life is not perfect, even after the child has returned
It was an excited novel and a quick read with a nice twist at the end. I would recommend this book to teens aged 12-15. I think both boys and girls would enjoy this book.
