Sweet Venom is a very unique twist on Greek mythology. The main characters are Grace, Gretchen, and Greer. Grace is the sweet, kind, optimistic one who sometimes needs a confidence boost. Gretchen is the tough one who can’t commit to anyone and can survive just fine on her own. And Greer is the stuck-up one with parents too busy and rich to pay attention to her. So, what could these three girls, with completely different personalities and lives, have in common? They are descendants of the mythological gorgon Medusa. And their job is to continue the legacy of protecting humans from monsters. The book was slow and boring at first, but it got better as it progressed. Overall, a good book that I would recommend to anyone who likes modern takes of Greek mythologies.
