Keeper of the Lost Cities

I think Keeper of the Lost Cities is an awesome book. It really places me into Sophie's shoes. My favorite part is when Sophie catches Elementite. I think Dex is very nice and definitely has a crush on Sophie. When Sophie (and Dex) get kidnapped, I think the men drug her too much. Other than that, it's really exciting! I never imagined an elf world! I really think the author is creative with names and look forward to having kids like me enjoy her books, just like I did.

Lulu Walks the Dogs

Lulu Walks the Dogs is a sequel to Lulu and the Brontosaurus. In Lulu Walks the Dogs, Lulu is trying to get money. The author does not tell what Lulu is trying to get money for until the end of the book. Lulu walks three dogs to get the money. She has a chant about money. This book is funny. The chapters are short, and there are time-outs which are not chapters.

34 Pieces of You

I really enjoyed 34 Pieces of You, however, I thought the back was misleading. This book is nothing like Thirteen Reason Why. Instead of focusing on Ellie, and the reasons for her death, it focused on the people that she left behind. And as the book unfolds, you slowly learn more about everyone's relationships, and realize just how many secrets everyone had, and how interconnected everyone was.  

34 Pieces of You was a great, intense read that focuses on not only on how a death can impact so many lives, but how one person can reach so many people in their lifetime, and how important it is to remember how important life actually is.

Dear Know-It-All: Read All About It!

Dear Know-It-All: Read All About It! is great reading for you if you are having issues with friends. It helped me solving some problems with friends of mine own.

It is about a middle school girl who gets picked as the "know-it-all" for an article in a school newspaper. She receives unsigned letters from students with  problems they are dealing with  at school and she has to find a way for them to solve these problems.

Find out how she resolves  these situations . . . probably  some of them are already familiar to you!

Do you like adventure? Then you should buy Heroes in Training in August 2012. This book has a bolt of adventure, titans, and young Zeus! I got this book thanks to Fresh Ink, and recommend it to you!

The Forsaken

The Forsaken is set in the future, where the U.S., Canada, and Mexico have joined together to create the UNA. Sixteen-year-olds all have to take a test to see if they'll become criminals. Those children are sent to a mysterious island called the Wheel. Alenna hasn't trusted the government since they took away her parents, but she would never suspect that she would fail the test. On the Wheel where she meets Liam, a boy who tells her that the government has many secrets, and the only way to survive is to escape. This book was amazing! It was very suspenseful and I would definitely recommend it.

A Hero for WandLa is a great book!

 

A girl named Eva Nine, who is around 11 or 12, lives in the woods hoping to go to a human city (aka New Attica). One day she gets picked up by a huge aircraft. This aircraft takes Eva to New Attica. Eva finds her sister, Eva Eight, in new Attica . . . Eva and her sister go on a very exciting adventure.
