This beautiful novel, Lola and the Boy Next Door, is well-written and tells a tale about a seventeen year old girl, Lola, who is having a conflict between two boys. A struggle that many teenagers go through, Lola cannot help but fall back in love with her next door neighbor while she is dating someone else. The reader of this book will bond with Lola and her decisions throughout this story by relating them to their own life. Many will also love how Lola's self-esteem lets her express herself through costume instead of normal clothing. Many feelings are showed in this book when Lola realizes that her boyfriend is not right for her and she finds true love in the boy next door. As such a touching read, this novel will be held in its readers' hearts.
