I really enjoyed The Girl of Fire and Thorns. It was similar to the Tamora Pierce books I’ve read which I also really enjoyed. I would definitely recommend it to a friend. I couldn’t put it down! One thing I didn’t like was the religious piece, but the book definitely doesn’t have to be thought of that way. Something that makes this book appealing is that the girl is an unlikely hero, she has always been in the shadow of other people. The people who help her are also unlikely friends.
