The Absolute Value of Mike is about Mike who's father is a mathematical genius. When his Dad has to lecture in Romania, he sends Mike to his great-aunt. In her town, all the people are trying to raise money for an orphan, Misha, whom Karen (the minister) wants to adopt. But they only have 3 weeks! When Karen has to leave for Ohio, they decide that Mike should be the leader. And there the chaos began! 
Angel Burn was so interesting. Angels are supposed to be good, but in the book they were these evil soul-sucking creatures. I could not stop reading once I started. I liked the way the author didn't cliche angels and made them something of their own.
In Eight Keys by Suzanne Lafleur, orphan Elise is depressed. Before her dad died, he wrote a series of birthday letters. It’s her 12th birthday and Elise discovers that this is the final letter. However it says that her Dad has left Elise something else as well. Elise journeys through sixth grade and finds hidden keys. She can now unlock rooms full of herself - past and present. As she continues to open doors, she re-examines her choices and thinks about the future. I loved this sweet and inspiring book about a girl who changes herself for the better.
I loved Jeremy Bender vs. the Cupcake Cadets. It is about a boy and his friend named Slater and there's this group of only girls called the Cupcake Cadets and his father has a very expensive KrisKraft boat and when Jeremy and Slater were cleaning the engine there was this special stuff you had to put in it, but instead Slater grabbed some grape juice and they put it all over the boat and Jeremy knew if his dad found out he would be dead meat. So the Cupcake Cadets are having a sailboat race and Jeremy decided to dress up like a Cupcake Cadet and join the group so that they could win the boat race and get the money to fix the boat before his father finds out what they did. That meant he had to dress up like a girl! He used his sister's wig and her old Cupcake Cadet uniform. There was another troop of Cupcake Cadets and their leader is Miss Sanchez and she is the arch enemy of Miss Randall, the leader of the other group of Cupcake Cadets, the one Jeremy and Slater join. They have a game of field hockey, and there's something else I must tell you, it's not normal field hockey, the girls from Miss Sanchez's group, Group 224, are big and mean, so it's more like a war than like field hockey. 
I really enjoyed Hourglass. It is fast-paced and has just the right amounts of plot twists to keep you on your seat. It is about a girl named Emerson. She can see ghosts from the past, an ability that started just before her parents died. Now she lives with her brother and tries to figure out who is real and who isn’t. That is until she meets Michael, who has the same powers she does. This book is fast-paced and fun—though mostly forgettable. I would recommend it as a good summer read.
Flawless is an amazing and interesting book that shows how one part of your physical appearance can change the way you and others around you live your lives. The main character, Sarah, has to face high school with a nose that she hates and that she thinks everyone makes fun of, and because of it, she pushes people away; she tries to make sure that no one will hurt her. I think that all teenagers should read this book because it's like reading a book about yourself; there's always something you want to change but you have to not care about it and to love yourself for who you are.
